Water Damaged Caddies

In the event of submersion in water (partial or full) of a motorized caddy; MGI advises the complete write-off of your caddy.

The cost of replacing the water-damaged components (including labour) exceeds the price of a replacement caddy.

If you elect to purchase replacement components, i.e. motors, gearbox, motor controller and electronics, we advise the replacement of ALL components simultaneously. Replacing individual components on a water-damaged caddy poses a higher risk of future failure of other components and therefore these parts will not be covered under warranty.

Please note that MGI does not warrant water-damaged batteries and, due to fire risk, under no circumstances should they continue to be used.

MGI Zip Series Models

MGI Zip Series models now come with a comprehensive 3 year warranty in mainland USA, effective on Zip Series caddies registered from July 1st 2021. 

Zip Series caddies & lithium batteries registered before July 1st 2021 are covered with a standard 2 year warranty.

MGI Zip models are covered by a Limited* manufacturer’s warranty from the date of purchase.

Duration of this warranty is:

  • 3 years on Zip Series partsº
  • 3 years on Zip Series Lithium batteries
  • 2 years on Zip Series chargers

It is recommended register your model within 30 days of purchase. Proof of Purchase required upon registration.

*MGI or an authorized service center will repair or replace any parts found to be defective in materials or workmanship under normal use provided that:

  • The MGI Zip model has been properly used, maintained and regularly serviced
  • The replacement or repair is performed by an authorized MGI service center or the owner with MGI approval.
  • The unit has been registered online.

MGI Golf only offers a warranty within the country where purchased across all MGI caddies, batteries, chargers and accessories and is non-transferable across different countries.

For United States consumers, MGI’s warranty only covers purchases made in mainland USA and the use of the electric caddy, battery, and charger in the United States.

Warranty Exclusions

Warranties only apply to purchases and use of MGI product throughout mainland USA.

The following events will void warranty:

  • Any alteration performed by non-authorised people or companies.
  • Fitting of parts or accessories not recommended by MGI.
  • Any damage caused by continued operation of the product after it is known to be defective.
  • Damage to the seat and/or seat support bracket on the unit.
  • Damage caused by partial or complete ingress of water into motor/gearbox and other major components.
  • Damage caused by the unit being driven into bunkers, other course hazards or clubhouse and carpark hazards.
  • Damage caused by golf balls or golf clubs.
  • Application of external force to any part of the unit or battery.
  • Fusion of motor or electronics through overload or continual stationary operation.
  • All implied warranties [save those preserved by statute] are excluded. Liability for consequential damages under any and all warranties are excluded to the extent exclusion is permitted by law.

The following events are not covered under warranty:

  • Normal wear and tear;
    (e.g. tyres, rubber handlebar, elastic straps, paintwork, battery performance, axles threads, charging ports on batteries and remotes, screen glass etc.)
  • Minor appearance defects which bear no effect on the operation of the unit and are considered by the manufacturer to be within the accepted standards.

All implied warranties [save those preserved by statute] are excluded. Liability for consequential damages under any and all warranties are excluded to the extent exclusion is permitted by law.

Parts Installed During Warranty

Warranty coverage for components installed during a units warranty period shall consist of the duration of the models warranty period, provided the warranty installation is performed by MGI, an authorized service center or the owner on approval. 

MGI Quad Series Models

The Navigator Quad is covered for a period of 3 years from the date of the purchase*, MGI or an authorized service center or person will repair or replace free of charge any parts found to be defective in materials or workmanship under normal use provided that:

  • The unit has been properly used, maintained and regularly serviced
  • The replacement or repair is performed by an authorized MGI service center or the owner with MGI approval.

*SLA batteries and chargers are covered by a 12 month warranty only.

Shipping caddies to MGI for Service/Repairs/Inspection

Within warranty/repairs/inspection – If a service centre is not easily accessible to you for within-warranty issues, MGI will arrange to have the caddy (or other products) picked up from a location convenient to yourself. If a caddy is being returned for repair/inspection under warranty it must be packed in a suitable box with adequate protection for the caddy.

Please note, until the caddy is received by MGI, MGI holds no responsibility for any damage or loss caused during transportation/shipping. 

Once received it is MGI’s responsibility to ensure the caddy is safety delivered back to yourself.

Outside warranty/repairs/inspection - If a service centre is not easily accessible to you for out-of-warranty service/repair, the onus will be on yourself to arrange for the caddy (or other products) to be returned to MGI. If a caddy is being returned for repair/inspection it must be packed in a suitable box with adequate protection for the caddy.

MGI Dri-Play & Lite-Play Cart Bags

MGI Dri-Play & Lite-Play cart bags comes with a 1 year warranty. MGI Dri-Play & Lite-Play cart bags are covered by a Limited manufacturer’s warranty from the date of purchase.

MGI Accessories

MGI Accessories comes with a comprehensive 1 year warranty.  
MGI Accessories are covered by a limited manufacturer’s warranty from the date of purchase.

Sureshot PINLOC 5000 Series Laser Rangefinders

Limited Warranty Sureshot™ Pty Ltd (“SS”) warrants that product delivered in this package will be free from material defects for one (1) year following the date of purchase from SS or its authorized reseller. Specifications subject to change without notice. For the purpose of this warranty, “material defect” means any defect in a SS product that can be reproduced by SS and is a substantial nonconformity from the published specifications for such product. SS shall not be responsible for any loss or damage whatsoever resulting from any defect in or associated with its products which occur or are notified by the purchaser to SS or its authorized repairer more than one year from said date of purchase.

This Limited Warranty does not apply to the battery, normal wear and tear or if any component of the Sureshot hardware is opened or repaired by an unauthorized person or company, and does not cover repair or replacement of any Sureshot laser hardware damaged by MISUSE, MOISTURE OR LIQUIDS, EXPOSURE TO HEAT, ACCIDENT, ABUSE OR NEGLECT. Dropping your Sureshot laser can permanently damage the laser, optical lenses and LCD, which is not covered under the terms of the Limited Warranty. This Limited Warranty does not cover physical damage to the surface of the SS, including cracks or scratches on the LCD screen and Lenses. This Limited Warranty does not extend to any defects which have been caused or contributed by neglect, misuse or accident, nor in respect of product which has been altered by other than authorized SS personnel or its authorized repairers. The determination as to whether the terms of this warranty are to apply to returned products is within the sole discretion of SS or its authorized repairer.

Provided any returned product is determined to be covered by this warranty, SS or its authorized repairers shall at SS’s sole discretion, repair or replace, free of charge, any products or parts thereof. In no event whatsoever shall SS be liable for any incidental, special or consequential loss or damage resulting from the purchase and/or use of its products howsoever caused and howsoever claimed. Any liability on SS under this warranty in respect of any repair and /or replacement and/or any action involving any of its products shall be limited to and not exceed the purchase price of the product in question.

The terms of this warranty are subject to relevant provisions of any Federal, State or Municipal law. Any dispute or action in relation to this warranty or the construction of it shall be subject to and conducted in accordance with the laws of the USA. Before returning any product, contact the SS Customer Support Group and obtain an RA number. Visit the Sureshot™ website www.sureshotgps.com for support contact details. If the Customer Support Group verifies that the product is likely to be defective they will issue an RA number to place on the outer package in which the product will be shipped. SS cannot accept any product without an RA number on the package. Warranty returns must also be accompanied by a copy of the dated proof of purchase. Deliver the product along with the RA number to SS.

If you ship the product you must assume the risk of damage or loss in transit. You must use the original container (or the equivalent) and pay the shipping charge. SS may replace or repair the product with either a new or reconditioned product and the returned product becomes SS’s property. SS warrants the repaired or replaced product to be free from material defects for a period of the greater of (i) ninety (90) days from the return shipping date; or (ii) the period of time remaining on the original one (1) year warranty. If there is any inconsistency between this Limited Warranty and any Warranty included in the packaging of the Sureshot device, the provisions of this Limited Warranty shall apply.
